My Fav Friday: Waterfall Trivia

My Fav Friday: Waterfall Trivia

It is not easy to always come up with a review activity for every unit. However, sometimes you just got to keep searching.. I came across Waterfall Trivia, which I STOLE, and shamelessly from none other than super-blogger Megan Golding.

How To: Waterfall Trivia

I used this review activity for my Algebra II students over Polynomial Functions, Rational Root Thr. and Fundamental Theorem of Algebra, etc....

The only change I made from Megan is 4 minutes per question because of the type of problems and for my kids, I have a custom pandora station of Corrine Bailey Rae, Adele, Sara Bareilles, Carly Rae Jespen.

Thanks for showing/ sharing, and thanks to Megan too. Can I get my Friday back please?

Glad to see you've resurrected one of my favorite activities. I haven't had a chance to play in a minute (or 2 years).

Ooh -- one other thing I learned from Waterfall Trivia is to appoint a student game master. After your kids have the hang of it, let the game master run the game so you can provide support to struggling students.

I like this idea, but as I read the instructions in the first link I realized that if you have 2007 or 2010 versions of office, you can do it MUCH easier!

I used the transition "push" and the option "from top" so now the new slide pushes the old one down (like water falling). You can set a timer for each slide, so you can have fast and slow questions (some do need more time than others).

It achieves the same goal, but without turning it into a PDF first, do it all in PPT. I have done this in Keynote as well.

Very nice idea. I am going to use this for sure!
